With the recent change from in-class learning to distance learning, or even hybrid learning, I was struggling with finding meaningful independent or asynchronous learning opportunities for my students.
My solution was to convert my Daily Writing Prompts that I used during my writing block into Digital Writing Prompts and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
Here’s how they work. After downloading the files onto your Google Drive, simply assign them to your students through Google Classroom or whatever digital platform you may be using. They are separated into weekly files, so you are able to assign the entire year in about 15 minutes using the Google Classroom scheduling tool! Talk about time saving!
Each Monday, my students receive an assignment of 5 writing prompts that they are to complete by the end of the week. The best part, they can type right on the slide with the prompt! There are also links to kid-friendly web sites to help them with any expository prompts. They are perfect for independent extended writing time while out of the classroom.
I have a Back to School set of 10 Digital Writing Prompts for you to download for FREE! Click here to grab them!
